Mr Andrew Titchener MA (Cantab) MSc LLM FRCS (Tr&Orth)
Mr Titchener is an Orthopaedic Trauma Consultant at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, where he was clinical lead for orthopaedic trauma from 2021-2025. His practice encompasses orthopaedic trauma surgery at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, and elective shoulder and elbow surgery at the NHS Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford.
His Orthopaedic trauma work includes the full range of injuries presenting to the Oxford Major Trauma Centre, including open fractures of the upper and lower limbs.
His elective orthopaedic interest includes primary and revision replacement surgery of the shoulder and elbow, and keyhole surgery (arthroscopy) of the shoulder and elbow.
Mr Titchener is a member of the Oxford Bone Infection Unit multidisciplinary team, taking regional and national referrals for complex shoulder and elbow reconstruction issues.
Medicolegal Practice
Mr Titchener’s prepares around 70-80 reports per year, predominantly complex matters including major personal injury and negligence issues.
His current Claimant:Defendant split is around 70:30.
Mr Titchener holds an LLM degree where his thesis was on consent issues in Orthopaedic Trauma. His studies provide him with some insight into the issues facing instructing parties.
